Materials
1 skein of LionBrand USA in the color Madison
size 8.00mm crochet hook, scissors, large eye yarn needle
One size fits all Confident Beginner-Intermediate Crochet Pattern
Multiple of 3 +1+1
Stitches Used in this pattern are:
slip knot
foundation chains
single crochet
single crochet in the 3rd loop
extended single crochet
slip stitch
Begin
leave an 18 inch yarn tail then make slip knot , chain 45+1+1= 47
Row 1: in 2ncd ch. from hook make (1sc), make (1sc) in each ch. across, ch.1 and turn work.
Row 2: (front facing you looking at your sc's there is a loop located on the side front facing you similar to the hdc. In that loop you will insert your hook from bottom to top and yarn over pulling your yarn through the stitch then yarn over again pulling yarn through both loops creating a sc. This is called The Camel Toe Knit Stitch (which I do have a tutorial on how to make this stitch located on my YouTube channel.) In each 3rd front loop of each sc you will make a sc crochet knit stitch in each ch. across beginning with the same chain as your first stitch, chain 1 and turn your work.
Row 3: in same ch. make 1 extended sc, next ch. make 2 extended sc popcorn ( insert hook into stitch, yarn over pulling yarn through the stitch and up to the height of your loop, yarn over only pulling yarn through 1 loop, yarn over pull yarn through both loops on hook, repeat this in same stitch, remove hook insert hook into first completed extended sc that's in the same chain then grab the loop you left and pull that loop through that ch. now ch.1 to secure. 2 extended sc's completed. Repeat this pattern across starting with 1 extended sc in the first stitch then 2 extended sc's popcorn in the second stitch. ch.1 and turn work when finished.
Row 4: repeat pattern from row 3
Row 5: in same ch. and in each ch. across make 1 regular sc in each stitch. ch.1 and turn work
Row 6: repeat pattern from row 5
Row 7: repeat pattern from row 3
Row 8: repeat pattern from row 4
Row 9; repeat pattern from row 5
Row 10: repeat pattern from row 2 in very last ch. make 1 slip stitch. cut yarn and weave in this yarn tail only. Finished.
Now it is time to stitch our sides together, with the 18-inch yarn tail thread with your large eyed yarn needle. You will insert yarn needle in the first row of the first stitch on one side of your head warmer and then insert yarn needle in the first row of the first stitch on the opposite side and whip stitch closed going upwards repeating going back to close your head warmer. Now tie both yarn ends and then you will cinch the middle of your head warmer together. To cinch your head warmer like in the photo pinch the middle and pinch the bottom and top with them grouped together you will insert needle through the middle that's pinched and thread your needle through all 3 sides from top to bottom and then again from bottom to top and pull yarn tight to cinch. Once that is complete tie your yarn ends in a knot again then weave in yarn ends on the inside of your work to hide. Congratulations you finished your first Stunning Beautiful Fall head warmer.
